If your KTM has a ZADI 1 immobiliser failure we can offer a solution that requires no learning or soldering. We will need your ZADI 1 with the VIN for your bike. This must match your ECU. If the bike has had another ECU fitted with a different VIN programmed this solution will not work.

The turnaround time will be two working days. Upon return, you will need to reconnect the bypass module we supply, this will be plug and play, any key will now start the engine. Please be aware of this.

We will offer a 12 months warranty for the supplied bypass module.

    KTM 990sm immobiliser issue

Posted by Darren on 15th Jul 2025

I was having a problem with the factory immobiliser on my 2008 KTM 990sm where the bike wouldn’t start, having searched the internet and KTM forums for a solution, nothing was coming up in the uk to fix the issue. I found ecu decode uk after a final ditch attempt by entering the ecu’s manufacturer (Keihin) into google search which gave me this fantastic company! After a couple of conversations with Darren and few emails of what I required the decision was made to see if this company could resurrect my bike which was now basically scrap! I sent my ecu and zadi box along with the bike vin number etc and awaited its fate, within a week I had an email asking for some more information from my bike as this would be the first one they have done. The information was sent and ecu decode performed wizardry, again within a week they had figured out what needed to be done to make my bike run without the problematic factory immobiliser. Everything was posted back to me via DHL and tracked on its journey arriving in perfect condition! I fitted the ecu back on the bike and the replacement for the zadi plugged straight into where the original came from, the bike started straight away and ran exactly as it should with no problems or warning lights on the dash. I have to say if any KTM owners are having the problematic immobiliser issue, give ecu decode a call, you won’t be disappointed.
