This service will deactivate the immobiliser operation in this ECU or any other ECU part number in the EDC15P+ family, from Audi, Seat, Skoda, and VW models.
This will enable the engine to run regardless of any other immobiliser-related failures; issues with keys, key readers, or instrument cluster problems will no longer result in a non-start situation. The common fault code for an immobilised vehicle will be 17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobiliser.
Please note that any existing issues in the vehicle that are causing the immobiliser/key display will not be deactivated, as this ECU does not have control over that. However, these messages are not MOT failures, and they will no longer prevent the engine from starting.
